UK retail sales boosted in April by royal wedding

LONDON The Office for National Statistics said Thursday that in terms of value, rather than volume, sales were 1.6 percent higher compared with March. The agency said sales volume for supermarkets and food stores was up 1.4 percent compared with a year earlier, the first year-on-year growth in 15 months.
